BEN TRE APPLIES AND ENHANCES THE SPIRIT OF THE 1960 DONG KHOI UPRISING IN THE "NEW DONG KHOI" MOVEMENT

Abstract

Ben Tre gained notoriety both domestically and internationally in 1960 for leading the Dong Khoi movement during the resistance fight against the United States to preserve the nation. The Party Committee of Ben Tre province and the people have utilized and promoted the spirit of Dong Khoi in 1960 to carry out the tasks of building and developing the homeland through the "New Dong Khoi" movements throughout the period of constructing and preserving the Fatherland. Following the inauguration of the "Dong Khoi Moi" model on five occasions (in 1977, 1997, 2008, 2015, 2020), Ben Tre has experienced significant and quick socio-economic development, resulting in tangible improvements in both material and spiritual aspects of life.
