BUDDHISM WITH SOCIAL SUPPORT ACTIVITIES IN BINH DUONG PROVINCE TODAY

Abstract

The social welfare initiatives undertaken by Buddhism in Binh Duong province exemplify the ethos of “compassion - charity” inherent in Buddhism, thereby making a significant contribution to the maintenance of social security in the province and serving to reinforce the function and standing of Buddhism within the fabric of society. Several measures to enhance the efficacy of social assistance activities in Buddhism in Binh Duong province in the near future comprise: intensifying promotional efforts to increase public awareness of social assistance among all segments of society, conducting specialized training programs on social assistance for monks, nuns, and Buddhists to enhance their proficiency in social assistance work; and establishing and developing a network of clinics and training facilities to enhance the professional skills of medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, and others.
