Abstract

Regular health check-ups are essential for health care, disease prevention, and the timely treatment of individuals. This research employs a Binary logistic model to examine the determinants influencing the health check-up status of households in the Mekong Delta (MD). This research paper uses quantitative survey data of 400 households in 04 communes of An Phu district, An Giang province and Binh Dai district, Ben Tre province. The research results show that people over 60 years old and with chronic diseases have a higher rate of periodic health check-ups than those under 60 years old and without chronic diseases. In addition, gender and income also have a relative impact on periodic health check-ups. In particular, women and people from households with average income or higher tend to have more periodic health check-ups than men and people from households with low income.
