CURRENT SITUATION AND INFLUENCING FACTORS ON STUDENTS’ SELF-STUDY ACTIVITIES: A CASE STUDY AT THUY LOI UNIVERSITY – SOUTHERN CAMPUS

Abstract

Self-study plays a vital role in shaping human intelligence. It not only enables students to grasp knowledge and skills to form a proper professional attitude but also fosters personal development, lifelong learning, and adaptability to societal changes. The findings from a survey conducted with 1,007 out of 2,202 students enrolled at Thuyloi University – Southern Campus revealed that students’ self-study capacity remains weak, lacking regular habits and structured approaches. Based on the analysis, this study proposes practical and suitable recommendations to enhance the self-study practices of students at the Campus.
