HEALTH WORSHIP CEREMONY FOR THE ELDERLY OF THE MNONG ETHNIC GROUP IN DAK NONG PROVINCE - TRADITION AND PRESENT

Abstract

The health celebration ceremony of the Mnong people, known as the longevity celebration, stands as one of the most significant life-cycle rituals and carries deep humanistic meaning. This event serves as a chance for the elderly to impart wisdom and guidance to their children and grandchildren regarding healthy eating and lifestyle habits that align with the rich traditions of the nation; it is an occasion to instill in the younger generation the values of diligence and honesty, as well as the importance of living responsibly towards their families and communities. This article reflects our research findings and observations gathered from multiple field trips to the Mnong villages located in the Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces.
