Abstract

In our research on Vietnamese young poetry during the anti-American war resistance period, we have observed the rise of several symbols that are regarded as distinctive, vibrant, and enhance the allure of the entire poetic form. These symbols originate from images that have naturally existed and have been intricately linked to human survival throughout generations, subsequently reimagined by young poets and transformed into aesthetic expressions. The article highlights several representative symbols within this poetic genre, such as: the night, the road, fire, the river, and the earth.
