Abstract

The paper focuses on clarifying the content of the university pedagogical cultural environment and the role of lecturers in developing such an environment at present. This is a system of material and non-material values, standards, traditions, cultural institutions and cultural landscapes formed during the development process of the university, creating its own identity, which is reflected in the material and non-material and operational forms of its members. On the basis of an overall assessment of the requirements for fundamental and comprehensive renovation in education and training, the authors propose a number of key measures to further bring the role of lecturers into play in developing pedagogical cultural environments of universities in the current period.
