Sự biến đổi trong tín ngưỡng thờ cúng tổ tiên của người Mường ở Hòa Bình hiện nay

Abstract

Like many other ethnic groups in Vietnam, the Mường people have had many forms of folk beliefs since ancient times, among which ancestor worship is one of the oldest and most popular beliefs of the Mường in general, and those in Hòa Bình province in particular. However, in recent years, the processes of modernization and integration have caused rapid changes in the belief of the Mường people. That has made the study of the belief in the context of modernization urgent in the current period for the purpose of finding solutions to help preserve and develop it. Applying the methods of analyzing secondary data and in-depth interview, the author has pointed out the reality of change in the belief of ancestor worship of the Mường in the context of modernization.
