Abstract

The new poetry collection Late Night Eyes in Groups by Trần Hùng (Việt Nam Writers’ Association Publishing House, 2023) “has a modern and minimalist structure”. What makes the collection linguistically attractive includes a special title structure; an architecture of sounds, given the use of tones and many types of word and structural repetitions, that is rich in musicality and original in tone; combinations of words’ which seem illogical but rationally explicable; new meanings and new symbols given to words; and unique comparisons. In addition to the above factors, the collection has a field of vocabulary with the colors of mysteries, fairy tales, and surrealism. Such characteritistics, added with vague and indefinite pronouns have made Trần Hùng's poetry has a mysterious and enchanting beauty, inviting readers to co-create.
