Abstract

The migration of Vietnamese people to the mountainous regions is associated with various reasons, time periods, and social circumstances. In cases of organized migration and settlement into a complete residential community, such as the case of Vietnamese people in An Sơn village, Hạnh Sơn commune, Nghĩa Lộ town, Yên Bái province, community relations are very important for building and settling down in a new place. They have a diverse set of social linkages in economic production, socio-cultural activities, religion, beliefs there. Most of these forms reflect internal linkages within their own settlement areas, which continue some of the organizational traditions of their homeland as well as adjusting or building specific characteristics suitable for the new living environment.
