Một số vấn đề về người cao tuổi trong bối cảnh già hóa dân số

Abstract

Many countries in the world have paid attention to research on healthcare for the elderly with chronic diseases in order to obtain the knowledge of and a basis for developing policies for them. Vietnam has been in the process of rapid aging population, and, due to the increase of age-related chronic diseases, the fact that the elderly have a much higher prevalence of diseases than other groups of people has been an issue of concern. In recent years, Vietnam has issued legal regulations and policy documents to ensure healthcare for the elderly. However, the issue of healthcare for the elderly with chronic diseases has not been paid much attention to in research and policymaking. Based on sources of secondary materials, this article researches a number of global experiences on the healthcare systems, financial resources, family members and the elderly with the chronic diseases, and suggested some policies for the country in the context of rapid aging population.
