Hoàn thiện pháp luật Việt Nam về người không quốc tịch hiện nay

Abstract

A person without citizenship is the person that has no country that s/he officially belongs to, so his/her legal status is much more limited than a citizen with nationality. Statelessness is not just a national problem, it is also a global concern. Although Vietnamese law has provided regulations to resolve problems related to stateless people, they are still not up to expectation. The article focuses on analyzing the issue of stateless people under the Vietnamese law as well as clarifying limitations and obstacles; from there, recommendations and suggestions are made to improve the law, contributing to reduce the situation/number of stateless people in Vietnam today.
