Abstract
To enhance the ability to respond to dangerous situations in daily life or when disasters occur, the Republic of Korea, or South Korea, has established a system of Safety and Disaster Experience Centers. Depending on the scale, the centers provide experience in single safety situations such as traffic, or in natural disasters such as earthquakes, storms, floods, etc. Therefore, their names are quite diverse: Traffic Park, Natural Disaster Experience Center, etc. In 2017, South Korea began to build National Safety Experience Centers according to its standards, adding to the above system. For enhancing education on natural disaster, several these centers have areas for experiencing natural disasters. This article focuses on studying and analyzing the context of establishing natural disaster experience centers and their role. Finally, the article suggests some policy implications for Vietnam.
