Bầu cử Lãnh đạo Đài Loan năm 2024: Định hình tương lai quan hệ giữa hai bờ eo biển

Abstract
Since Tsai Ing-wen was re-elected for a second term (2020), the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has increasingly expressed a tougher stance towards China by not accepting Beijing’s preconditions (“92 Consensus”, the “One China” principle and the “one country, two systems” model). This has caused the cross-strait relations to fall into a dangerous spiral of increased tension and confrontation. Therefore, the 2024 leader election of Taiwan (China) is not only important for the island but also a decisive factor in the development trend of cross-strait relations. The article analyzes the context and evaluates the election results, thereby making predictions about the development prospects of this relation in the time to come.
