Abstract

Time belongs to both natural and social law. This is a complex category with a broad connotation, including many issues. In human perception, all existence follows the time trajectory, including indeterminate forms of time. Art in general, and literature in particular, is no exception. However, besides the universal laws of time, literature has a specialized form of time, called artistic time. The sense of time is the approach to studying artistic time in literature, contributing to the exploration of the work’s aesthetic values, and the author’s artistic perspective. The article identifies and interprets expressions of the sense of time in Hồng Đức quốc âm thi tập in two aspects: cyclic time - the time of all time and linear time - timeless time. Thereby, we aim to affirm the role of artistic time in literature, and at the same time contribute to the approach to this collection of poems.
