Abstract

In the system of K. Marx’s and F. Engels’s theoretical legacy, the viewpoint of protecting the achievements of the revolution bears very important and practical meaning. That is the basis and foundation for the birth of the Marxist theory of safeguarding the socialist Fatherland, directly creating the awareness for and providing the working class with pathways and directions to firmly maintain the achievements. This viewpoint is still of important value nowadays, especially in the cause of safeguarding the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam well before it faces danger. Accordingly, the paper focuses on generalizing and explaining the viewpoint of K. Marx and F. Engels on the issue of protecting the achievements in three core aspects: the approach to the issue, the objective necessity, and the necessary conditions for the working class to protect the achievements.
