Abstract

Based on the affirmation regarding the inheritance of and bringing the national traditional ethical values into play in Vietnam today, to achieve the desired effect, it is necessary to comply with principled requirements. This article analyzes and clarifies a number of principled requirements the inheritance and bringing into play on three key aspects: i) persistently grasping Marxism-Leninism and Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology in conducting that; ii) modern perspectives are relied upon to guide that work; and iii) it is necessary to continue to thoroughly grasp the task of building an advanced Vietnamese culture rich in national identity in the new period
