Abstract

Testing and assessment of students’ learning outcomes have always played a particularly important and indispensable position in education and management of each educational institution. Beside the traditional assessment methods, in recent years, online testing and assessment has also been implemented among colleges and universities in Vietnam. This study focuses on examining the methodological basis, and the advantages and disadvantages of online testing and assessment in EFL classrooms in several colleges and universities in Hanoi to give recommendations for improving the quality of online testing and assessment and enhancing the training effectiveness among colleges and universities in Hanoi nowadays.
