Abstract

Hồ Chí Minh City is an economic center with the highest speed of integration into the global economy in Vietnam, so it is currently facing the situation of more and more labor shifting from the state to non-state sectors. This article uses previously published horizontal research results to put into a comparative and contrastive system to highlight the vertical trend of labor movement over time. The results show that the law of supply and demand of the current fiercely competitive labor market is the objective cause of the above-mentioned trend. However, subjective causes such as limitations in the process of attracting, managing and using workers also have exerted a great impact leading to the situation.
