Formerly known as Development and Integration Scientific Newsletter, which is a unit of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, it was licensed to operate by the Ministry of Information and Communications under Publishing License No. 38/GP-XBBT dated August 4, 2009 and published the first issue in October, 2009 with the enthusiastic participation of scientists, policy makers and experienced economic experts. After two years of active and effective operation, Development and Integration Scientific Newsletter was granted a press license by the Ministry of Information and Communications to upgrade it to Journal of Development and Integration under Decision No. 1243/GP-BTTTT issued on August 5, 2011. The Journal was later authorized the license No. 563/GP-BTTTT to operate print and electronic version on November 25, 2022.

The Journal has been highly appreciated by readers for its scientific content and innovative ideas on economic, social, educational and current affairs issues that are attracting public attention. After receiving a publication license from the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued an international press standardization code - ISSN (International Standard Serial Number): 1859-428X for the Journal. On June 13, 2023, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued e-ISSN number: 2815-6234. Thus, articles published in this Journal will be counted as scientific works according to regulations for functional branches of the Government. Recently, the State Council for Professorship in Economics officially recognized articles published in the journal as being eligible for 0.75 points in scientific evaluation, as stipulated in Decision No. 25/QĐ-HĐGSNN, issued on July 5, 2024.

Journal of Development and Integration is a specialized academic Journal with double blind peer reviews and open access. It publishes six issues a year in both Vietnamese and English, operates and develops in the direction of integration, and is connected to national and international data systems, attracting the attention of many domestic and foreign scientists in the fields within the aims and scope of the Journal.

The Journal receives complete scientific research works in the fields of: Economics - Business - Management, Finance - Banking - Accounting, Social Sciences and Humanities. It also encourages the publication of research works based on the application of new methods, technologies and techniques; specific studies on socio-economic conditions that have a great impact on the local, national, international communities and less researched fields. Specific topics include:

  • Economics - Business - Management: economics, public policy, development economics, international economics, business administration, commercial business, marketing, international business, human resources, economic management, management science, public management, science and technology management, energy management, logistics and supply chain, ...
  • Finance – Banking – Accounting: public finance, international finance, banking, financial markets and institutions, accounting, auditing, public accounting, public service unit accounting and corporate accounting.
  • Social sciences and humanities: sociology, political science, social psychology, anthropology, gender studies, linguistics, laws and education.
