Research and evaluation of thermal load control system of coal-fired thermal power plants on real-time simulation equipment

Abstract

In the content of the paper, the authors evaluate the thermal load system on a real-time simulation equipment.
The real-time simulation device includes: The control is installed in ABB's AC800 industrial controller and
object simulation (Boiler - Turbine - Generator) for the control system on card DS1104. Firstly, the author
performed real-time simulation for the whole system on the DS1104 card with the generalized dynamics of
thermal load system in order to check the model's accuracy and suitability in real time. Secondly, the thermal
load system is set up on the AC800M controller. System responses recorded from Matlab&Simulink, dSPACE
and Simulator (real-time simulation system) are compared together to evaluate the results of the control design.
The results meet the control requirements for the power and pressure control loops.
