Effect of inverter on leakage current in underground mine power network

Abstract

Inverters are commonly used equipment in mining today, in the future, to improve the efficiency of power supply, inverter stations can be used. The use of these devices, in addition to the 50Hz frequency current component, also appears other 50Hz frequency current components and DC current components. The appearance of these current components causes the erroneous operation of the leakage protection relay. The content of the article is to study the influence of inverters on leakage current in underground mine electrical networks.
