Abstract

Protective devices used in isolated 3-phase neutral low-voltage networks used in the mining industry are required to be tested and inspected before being put into operation. For testing, an assumed  load combination with variable configuration is required to simulate different operating conditions. Currently, inspection as well as production facilities are commonly using loads that use manual switching, which are relatively cumbersome and complicated during the connection process.

The article presents the results of research, design and development of a programmable assumed load unit for testing the insulation resistance of mine network with isolated neutral.
