Abstract

The mining industry is growing rapidly and is also the industry that generates the largest amount of waste. Most of these wastes are stored in lakes or dams, leading to the use of large land resources and environmental challenges. The treatment, reuse and recycling of industrial waste and scrap to reduce environmental pollution is a matter of concern. Some countries have researched and used waste (waste ore) during the process of mining and processing minerals as construction materials. This brings dual effects, not only compensating for the shortage of raw materials for construction materials but also solving waste management issues, protecting the environment and reducing safety risks for dams and ore dumps. waste tail.

Currently, the demand for raw materials and fuel for construction materials production in our country is very large and is increasing with the development of the construction materials industry. Increasing the use of waste and industrial waste as replacement materials in the production of construction materials will have great significance in terms of saving non-renewable mineral resources and protecting the landscape and environment... However, the use of tailings from mining and mineral processing as raw materials for the construction materials industry is not commensurate with the potential, especially for tailings from mineral processing plants, which are still very limited and primitive. The content of the article introduces the situation of research and use of tailings in the world and in Vietnam as construction materials, thereby providing directions and solutions to increase the use of tailings at material processing plants.
