Research on technical solutions and technology for mobilizing coal mining under the protected constructions and objects on surface in Quang Ninh area
Abstract
Within the boundaries of underground mining projects in Quang Ninh province, there are currently resources and coal reserves that must be left as pillars to protect structures and objects on the surface. The issue of researching and finding technical and technological solutions that both ensure safe and effective exploitation of the coal seams below, while not damaging structures and objects that need to be protected on the surface, is very necessary. This article introduces an overview of the achievements and experiences in the world in mining coal under structures and objects of surface protection using tunneling mining technology, thereby researching and proposing suitable solutions to apply in the conditions of underground coal mines in Quang Ninh province. The research results show that mining technology with the method of mechanical back filling or hydraulic back filling in the form of mortar, using tunneling materials from mine waste rock, waste slag or ash from thermal power plants is suitable and completely feasible for practical application, meeting the needs of production.
