The results of initial research on hot mineral water sources in boreholes LK01 and LK02 in Bo town, Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province

Abstract

Boreholes LK01 and LK02 are currently extracting water for domestic and resort bathing needs. These two boreholes are located within the distribution of natural hot water mineral water sources in Kim Boi area, Hoa Binh but have not been fully evaluated for both quality and reserves. The author's research objective is to evaluate the quality and exploitability of mineral water sources at the above 2 boreholes. To achieve the goal, the authors conducted field surveys, experimental water pumps, water dynamics monitoring, sampling for quality assessment and calculation of mineral aquifer parameters.

      The results of the study have clarified the distribution characteristics of mineral water. The water source in the boreholes LK01 and LK02 can be assessed as hot minerals of good quality to meet the requirements of bathing and daily life. From the results of water absorption, the parameters of the exploitation work and the reservoir have been determined as follows: suction flow Q: 5.90 ÷ 6.60 m; static water level Ht: 1.90 ÷ 2.14 m; dynamic water level HD: 3.25 ÷ 5.25 m.
