Abstract

To contribute to further research on the biodiversity value of Song Dam lake, aiming to preserve the wetland area of ​​Quang Nam province, the research team conducted a diverse investigation of its components. Species and use value of higher vascular plants in Song Dam lake area. The study uses field survey methods to collect samples; Analyze samples under a microscope in the laboratory and use comparative morphology in sample identification; Look up and learn about the use value of species through professional documents. Research results have recorded that in the Song Dam lake area, there are 232 species, 173 genera, 89 families belonging to 3 phyla of higher vascular plants. The Magnoliopsida class has 157 species, accounting for 67.67% and the Liliopsida class has 67 species, accounting for 28.88%. Each species has many different uses such as medicinal plants, foods plants, sornament plants, plants for extractive products, fibre plants, ... and two species that are valuable for preserving national heritage trees are Garcinia celebica L. and Pterocarpus indicus Willd.
