Nghiên cứu phân vùng tiềm năng năng lượng gió ngoài khơi tỉnh Quảng Ninh

Abstract

In the context of traditional energy sources becoming increasingly depleted, developing renewable energy, including offshore wind energy, is an inevitable trend and breakthrough solution for sustainable economic development in Vietnam and Quang Ninh province. Using a combination of wind energy density calculation methods and mapping methods based on GIS technology, zoning of offshore wind energy potential was carried out in Quang Ninh province according to simulated wind speed data at 100 m above ground level for a period of 20 years (2003 - 2022). Results showed that Quang Ninh province has medium to high wind potential, suitable for wind power development. Accordingly, a number of technical and policy solutions to promote the effective exploitation and use of offshore wind energy in Quang Ninh province was proposed.
