STUDY PROPOSES SOLUTIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE EXTRACTION OF BAUXITE ORE IN CENTRAL HIGHLAND AREA OF VIETNAM

Abstract

    Vietnam has significant bauxite resources, which is distributed at many regions in nationwide, but it concentrates mainly on Central Highland area. Although bauxite extraction has been carried out for more than ten years, there are more problems to need to be resolved to ensure sustainable development. These issues include land clearance, extraction in rainy season, unstable exploited ore quality. The paper suggests minning-technique solutions for extracting sustainably bauxite ore in Central Highland region from current mining investigation and advantage and disadvantage analysis, affecting elements to bauxite extraction in the region.
