WASTE MANAGEMENT CLOSED-ECO-MODEL-BASED METHODS FOR SNAKEHEAD FISH FARMING AND PROCESSING ACTIVITIES OF A HOUSEHOLD

Abstract

   Although the livelihoods of rural households has improved, the issue of waste management from their livelihoods has not yet received adequate attention. This paper introduced a closed eco-model for the livelihood activities of a snakehead fish farming and processing household based on the integration of various eco-models. The aim is to manage waste streams in a way that utilizes local resources. The paper showed that the model and the technical specifications of its components are well-suited to household livelihoods. In addition, methods are proposed to encourage the development and maintenance of sustainable closed-loop ecological systems.
