Abstract

Medicinal plant gardens in universities with medical and pharmaceutical programs are crucial in research and education. They also contribute to conserving rare medicinal plant species amidst environmental degradation and biodiversity loss. This study aimed to evaluate the diversity of medicinal plant resources at Dai Nam University. The methods employed included sample plot surveys, species identification, determination of medicinal uses, and data analysis. The research identified 108 medicinal plant species belonging to 95 genera, 54 families, 4 classes, and 3 plant divisions: Pinophyta, Cycadophyta, and Magnoliophyta. Among these, the Magnoliophyta division was the most diverse, accounting for 98.15% of the total species. Five main life forms of medicinal plants were recorded, with herbs being the most prevalent, representing 40% of the total.
