THE LANGUAGES OF ETHNIC MINORITIES WITH VERY SMALL POPULATION IN VIETNAM BEFORE THE RISK OF EVER DECREASING - SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

A warning about the danger of extinction in many languages in the
world is not excluded from the current reality in Vietnam, especially
for Vietnam ethnic minority languages.
The article mentions the following contents: concepts of "ethnic
minorities with very few people" and "endangering"; linguistic
degradation signs: the state and scope of communication, writings and
formation - development of literary language, language education,
survival levels, linguistic studies. Discussion: whether risks of
extinction threaten languages, factors that affect the survival of
languages, why conserving and developing languages of ethnic groups,
solutions to solve endangered languages.
The most important factor that brings the vitality of languages is
languages have to be transmitted and used in social life.
