HO CHI MINH’S VIEWS ON METHOD OF MORAL EDUCATION - APPLICATION TO MORAL EDUCATION FOR CURRENT STUDENTS
Abstract
Deeply imbued with Ho Chi Minh’s thought, in different revolutionary periods, our Party has always paid special attention to moral education for the young generation, especially students; considering
this both a goal and a driving force to ensure the stability and sustainable development of the country; at the
same time is the task of the entire Party, the people and the whole political system. This view has always
been thoroughly grasped, expressed in a specific way in documents and resolutions as well as in the actual
process of leadership and direction of the Party’s educational affairs. Most recently, at the 13th Party Congress
determined: “Strengthening education on patriotism, national pride, tradition and national history, a sense of
social responsibility for all classes of people, especially the youth, at the same time, “promoting education
to raise awareness, sense of respect and observance of the law, protecting the environment, preserving
the national cultural identity of the Vietnamese people, especially the young generation”. From the above
mentioned issues, the article focuses on clarifying Ho Chi Minh’s view on the method of moral education,
in which applying to moral education for students is now a necessary issue, an important task with profound
theoretical and practical significance. This will be the basis, creating a premise for education and training,
moral feelings for students, having the effect of guiding human behavior to achieve the highest value. This is
the spiritual strength that helps people reach the truth, goodness and beauty.
