OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES OF POPULATION AGING FOR THE RED RIVER DELTA AREA

Abstract

The Red River Delta is one of the regions with the highest population aging index in the country (ranked second in the country, according to Census data, 2019). In this article, the author focuses on studying the current situation, opportunities and challenges of population aging in the Red River Delta. The study also predicts that population aging will also become a big problem if the provinces in this region do not prepare a good social security system for the elderly in the future.
