PROMOTING THE APPLICATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TO SUPPORT SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ETHNIC MINORITIES AND MOUNTAINOUS AREAS TODAY

Abstract

Digital transformation and application of information technology (IT) for economic development is a common trend of the whole society. Along with that general trend, the digital transformation to support ethnic minorities and mountainous areas for economic development has also been promoted recently and has achieved meaningful and important results. However, for ethnic minority and mountainous areas, accessing, understanding and using information technology still faces many difficulties and limitations. Therefore, we need to have synchronous solutions so that digital transformation for economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas achieves better results in the context of the fourth industrial revolution.
