WOMEN'S FATE IN MOSS FRAME AND STUDENT’S ARMS

Abstract

The works of Nguyen Thi Thuy Vu and Nguyen Thi Hoang always focus on describing Women’s fate, in the context of turbulent urban society in the South during the period of 1954-1975. The fate of women in Moss Frame (Nguyen Thi Thuy Vu) and Student's Arms (Nguyen Thi Hoang), no matter what social class they also belong to suffer a lot of mental pain in the family and in society, due to the strict constraints of the remnants of feudal rites. Each writer has his own way of expressing pain in the common pain. Through the stories and psychological conflicts of the characters, the two writers have shown a deep sympathy and sharing full of humanity
