THE ROLE OF THE PRESTIGIOUS PEOPLE IN THE ETHNIC MINORITY AREAS IN THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS (A CASE STUDY IN DAK LAK PROVINCE)
Abstract
The Central Highlands is a land with a strategic position in socio-economic development, especially the issue of ensuring national defense and security. In recent years, the Central Highlands has developed very quickly and achieved important achievements in all fields, the face of rural areas has changed markedly, the material and spiritual life of the ethnic minorities is improving day by day. These results are due to the Party and State's guidelines and policies on socio-economic development in the provinces of the Central Highlands have been well implemented, in which have policies for reputable people among ethnic minorities. The article analyzes the important role of a contingent of reputable people among ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands (particularly Dak Lak province) in socio-economic development, conservation and promotion traditional cultural values, maintaining security and defense in ethnic minority areas in the current integration context.
