PRESERVE AND PROMOTE THE VALUE OF THE “KHO GIA GIA” FESTIVAL OF THE BLACK HA NHI PEOPLE, Y TY COMMUNE, BAX XAT DISTRICT, LAO CAI PROVINCE IN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
During a year, the Ha Nhi people in our country have many festivals imbued with ethnic cultural identity, the typical one is the Kho Gia Gia Festival of the black Ha Nhi people in Y Ty commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province. The nature of this festival is to pray for good harvests, with the hope of favorable weather, good harvests, prosperous people, lush crops, prosperous and happy for the family. In addition to its spiritual significance, this festival is also a form of community cultural activity, with important significance in uniting the social community inside and outside the village in the past and now. To organize the festival, the black Ha Nhi people must prepare several months in advance, conduct community meetings to discuss how to organize rituals and festivals, contribute funds and assign tasks to individuals performing work related to the festival. The space for holding the ceremony is in the open area of the park forest and the duration of the festival is 3 days and is one of the largest and most important festivals of the people. In recent years, the traditional festivals of the black Ha Nhi people in Y Ty commune have been paid attention to, preserved and developed by local authorities to attract tourists.
