Abstract

ON THE MONEY FRONT IN VIETNAM ABOUT
“STRUGGLING FOR 30 YEARS TO REGAIN THE WHOLE COUNTRY” (1945-1975)
After independence in 1945, the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam had a firm strategy on money production and issuance; In the first stage, there was no bank, so it was undertaken by the Ministry of Finance, it was called Finance Money. From printing / minting money in Huế, Hanoi and then allowing the South to print and issue a variety of currencies... Although the money is printed differently, there is still unity from the leadership and the general direction of the Government, creating an extremely tough battle front with the enemy, even the Central Vietnam imprinted French Indochinese counterfeit money being used in the South to cause currency disturbance. Over many periods, against the French and the US... this front has been going on continuously for 30 years, side by side with other fronts such as military, diplomacy... until reunification day in 1975, ended with the new monetary system in 1976, released in 1978.
