Thái Hòa Palace and Cần Chánh Palace are two scale works and play the most important role in the area of the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City in the Huế Ancient Capital during the Nguyễn Dynasty (1802-1945). From the perspective of spatial and rituals arrangement, they have a close relationship with each other and are the most typical expression of the relationship between the main hall of the two areas with the Outer and Inner Dynasties. Through understanding their scale, structure and organization of the ritual space, article clarifies the relationship between them.
