Abstract
Echolalia is one of the common behaviors exhibited by children with autism spectrum disorde, directly affecting their communication and language development. This article presents a study on reducing immediate echolalia in three preschool children with autism spectrum disorder in Ho Chi Minh City. The results indicate that reducing immediate echolalia through personalized intervention strategies that transform echolalia into communicative behavior, combined with small-group support, significantly enhances the children’s ability to communicate verbally in natural environments. Additionally, these interventions provide opportunities for practicing new language patterns.
