Abstract
This study analyzes the semantic characteristics of university slogans in Seoul, South Korea. While sharing common values related to educational philosophy and institutional mission, each university’s slogan reflects distinctive traits shaped by ownership models, religious influences, and training orientations. Core values such as the pursuit of knowledge and truth, self-improvement, dedication to society and the nation, global vision, and ethical principles are clearly expressed. The findings provide deeper insights into the identity and communication of educational ideals in Korean universities, offering a meaningful reflection of the values and aspirations of Korean society.
