Abstract
In the modern Chinese adverb system, "赶忙" (hurriedly/rushed/quickly) is a high-frequency adverb, considered one of the challenging and key topics in teaching Chinese as a second language. This paper, from both synchronic and diachronic perspectives, explores the concept, classification, lexicalization process, tense features, and usage distribution across three conceptual domains, thereby clarifying the distinctive features of "赶忙" on all three linguistic dimensions.
