Abstract

Abstract: Condotels have been developing in Vietnam for about a decade. However,
the legal framework regulating real estate intended for tourism and accommodation
purposes remains incomplete—particularly the provisions governing the issuance of
Certificates to buyers, which are vague and insufficient. As a result, implementation
varies across different localities; in some areas, Certificates are not issued at all. With
the introduction of the 2023 Law on Real Estate Business, the 2024 Land Law, and other
relevant legal instruments, it is anticipated that these obstacles to those types of real
estate will be removed. Consequently, this is expected to drive growth in the sector while
contributing to local economic development.
