Abstract

Abstract: This article analyzes the current legal provisions concerning which
officials are subject to votes of confidence in Vietnam’s National Assembly, as well as
the practical implementation of these provisions and the shortcomings that have arisen.
Based on these findings, the article proposes that confidence votes in the National
Assembly should focus on members of the Government in order to enhance the
effectiveness of this oversight mechanism.
