Abstract

Abstract: The article examines a number of theoretical issues and the international
legal framework on international migration, both at the global level and in Vietnam.
Based on an analysis of the current situation of international migration and an
assessment of the international legal framework on migration in the context of global
changes, the article proposes a number of solutions to prevent illegal international
migration and to strengthen the management of international migration in Vietnam. In
particular, it focuses on the following issues: improving domestic laws such as
nationality law (to reduce statelessness) and laws on preventing and combating illegal
cross-border migration.
