Abstract
Abstract: Since acceding to the 1958 New York Convention in 1995, Vietnam has
gradually internalized the provisions of the Convention into its national law, creating a
legal foundation for the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards.
However, practical experience in implementation shows that there remain problems that
reduce the effectiveness of this mechanism. The article focuses on pointing out some
notable incompatibilities between Vietnamese law and the Convention; from there, it
proposes recommendations to improve the law and enhance the effectiveness of the
Convention's implementation in Vietnam in the context of the country’s deeper
international integration.
