Abstract

Abstract: The article analyzes several issues related to two fundamental and
important sources of law in Vietnam today: Normative legal documents and case law.
Regarding normative legal documents, the article focuses on issues concerning the
principles of application. As for case law, the article evaluates the current situation
related to hierarchical value, legal validity, binding force, as well as the publication of
case law and legal interpretation. Based on this analysis, the author offers some
proposals to further improve the current system of legal sources in Vietnam.
