Abstract

Abstract: The right to erasure is one of the specific rights individuals have
concerning their personal data, and it is encouraged by the European Data Protection
Supervisor (EDPS) for application in the digital environment. Decree No. 13/2023/NĐ-
CP on Personal Data Protection also recognizes the right to erasure as a fundamental
right of data subjects, indicating that Vietnamese law is gradually aligning with
international standards in personal data protection in the digital environment.
Therefore, clarifying certain aspects of this right is essential to enhance the effectiveness
of legal implementation.
