Abstract

Abstract: This article clarifies both the potential benefits and drawbacks of a robot
tax for a country’s economy and society; considers how “robot” should be defined and
what the notion of a robot tax entails; surveys international debates and policy stances
on such taxation; and, on that basis, offers suggestions for Vietnam’s future
consideration of a robot tax.
